Hello. First, I apologise that this may not be exactly the right place to ask this question, but I don't know where or how else I can post this question on this forum. Please bear with me.
I have had STEP Bible v. 2.1.49 (released Nov. 2022) installed on my MacBook Air for a long time. It worked whenever I needed it, and I was happy with what it could do for me. But today I had a chance to recommend STEP Bible to someone who didn't already know about it. In doing so, I went to the website and found a new version v. 24.10.9 (released October 2024).
First thing I noticed was a change in version numbering system. It seems that the version number is based on the release year/month/date. Is this correct? I am ok with it, but I was a bit surprised by the big jump from 2.x.x to 24.x.x.
Secondly, when I downloaded and installed it, I was surprised that it installed as a folder, not as an application bundle like it used to before. Why did this change? I think it would be nicer if the whole thing can be wrapped into an application bundle, so that after installing it to my home directory, I can move into the main Applications folder as one item, and double-click on it (rather than an idem inside the folder) to launch the app. Unless there are good reasons why this change is necessary, I would like to request this to go back to the way it was, that the entire STEP Bible should install as a single application bundle on macOS platform.
Thank you.
