The SPLA Spokesperson says there was no general killed in Kaya, Yei
River State on Saturday last week as published by Ugandan Newspaper.
Brigadier General Lul Ruai Koang says New Vision Newspaper reported
late August that an SPLA General called Malisi Atiem Ring Deng, was
shot and died from his wounds in Uganda.
He argues that there is no officer by names Malisi Atiem Ring Deng in
the records of the SPLA.
The Spokesperson adds that no wounded soldiers of SPLA were taken to
Uganda for treatment, but all were uplifted to the Military Hospital
in Juba.
Brigadier General Ruai cautions the public against believing in SPLA
in opposition propaganda.
CRN could not talk to the Ugandan New Vision Newspaper and the armed
opposition for comments.
