Go Behind the Scenes
Join Ryan Boyette and the Nuba Reports team in DC to learn about our new virtual reality film from the Nuba Mountains
What was it like shooting "We Who Remain" on the ground in the conflict zone in Nuba? What has the impact of the film been so far, and what is the power of VR to tell stories like this one?
Join us for a conversation this Tuesday, June 20 with the filmmakers and a chance to experience the award-winning film being screened at AFI:DOCS and festivals around the world. Human Rights Watch's Skye Wheeler will moderate the discussion with Ryan Boyette (in town from the Nuba Mountains) and Trevor Snapp (co-director of the film).
The film is a story about four people - a journalist, student, mother, and soldier - who have stayed behind, in war. Nuba Reports and Emblematic Group co-produced this film (in association with The New York Times, AJ+ and Arte) to bring the Nuba Mountains - a region cut off from outsiders - to the outside world.
When: Tuesday, June 20 | 6-8 pm
Where: WeWork | 1342 Florida Avenue NW (near the U Street metro)
