Grenade explosion kills 1, injures 3 teens in Wau neighbourhood

A teenage boy was killed and three others injured when a hand grenade accidentally exploded at Hai Darjat in Wau town on Friday, a relative said.

Khamis Sebit, uncle to the boy who died, told Radio Tamazuj that the children were playing outdoors when they found the grenade in a sandy place.He further said kids mistook the grenade as a toy and were playing with it when it accidentally went off. Sebit pointed out that the injured boys were shifted to a nearby hospital for treatment.There are no reports as to who put the grenade in the area.
