South Sudan Network for Democracy and Election, SSUNDE, conducted the survey on the security situation in Juba following the deployment of forces to flush out illegal arms on the roads. The forces were mainly from SPLA divisions and the National Security.

The survey covered the period between December 2016 and March 2017.The executive director of SSUNDE, Rajab Muhandis, says the purpose of the survey was to gather citizen opinions to help security units ensure safety and security of the people.

According to the SSUNDE, the survey targeted more 1,000 people and covered the whole of Juba city.Mr. Muhandis says the results of the survey have been handed over to the army, police, national security, and other organized forces to help their work.
