YAMBIO, 14 December 2013 [Gurtong]- Hon. Clement Juma
Mbugoniwia made the revelation after his meeting with engineers sent by
USAID to conduct a feasibility study on Madiba-Kediba and Ezo- Bariguna,
Yubo-Tambura and Yambio-Dibio roads.
Mbugoniwia appreciated the team for the visit. He said many development
projects have been discussed since the recent visit of the US Ambassador
Susan Page to the state.
Mbugoniwia said Yambio-Dibio and Madiba-Kediba, Ezo-Bariguna and
Yubo-Tambura have been prioritised because they are in bad condition.
These feeder-roads according to the minister are designed in
collaboration with the ministry of agriculture. Mbugoniwia hopes by
next year progress on the prioritised roads will be seen.
The team conducting the feasibility is expected to make a detailed
analysis of the road. The engineers are also expected to put together
technical drawing and design of the road and produce the bill of
quantity which will later followed by opening up of bids to find
competent contractors.
Mbugoniwia urged the community to collaborate with the people who will be coming to help develop the road sector in the state.
