Interesting list of pilots.  I was not at that contest.  A LOT of friends in that list who have passed on to the green runways and fair winds in the sky...😞

This was right after 9/11. We had F-16s flying cap over Montgomery while we competed.

I think I remember that there was a debated at the time as to whether planes must be built EXACTLY according to published plans. Someone suggested we should take a group picture of all the pilots with there Daddy Rabbits. There were about 18 DRs that year.

While the picture was being taken, I noticed that no one was looking at the planes. Very strict attention to the camera.

When the picture was done, it was MAGIC! All the planes disappeared and no one commented on anyone else's plane.

Why you might ask. 

While we all professed to build according to the plans, no two of the DRs were alike. EVERYONE was tweaking their planes.
