Hey SEVA,
Micah Peterson has been giving great updates as a team member on the V212 project to restore the only (legitimately owned) EV1 in private hands!  The team is restoring it in the most scientific manner possible, and GM could no longer ignore their efforts, and has now pledged full support.   The main question that was not answered in this video is: will GM rescind their ban on re-energizing all of the EV-1s that were donated to other universities?!?

Also, will GM give them parts like a new windshield?  That gold foil windshield would be pretty hard to fashion without the old molds.

Jared was holding back the info on the parts, but since GM announced it - Yes, they are supplying parts including a windshield, BTCM, junction boards, and other parts that the V212 team need. At the very end of the latest video we have Mark Reuss stating "Whatever you need, we'll help".

I can't overstate what an about-face this is for GM. They have historically been painted as the bad guys when it comes to the EV1, and whether thats fair or not, the new generation seems to want to fix that.
