The Two Kinds of Moderate

I like the concept of accidental moderate, as I have always liked the concept of radical centrist. I don’t like the term accidental moderate because it implies to me a laziness of thought. I think unintended centrist or independent centrist might be better.
I personally dislike the idea of being labeled “left” or “right” or “moderate”. The closest term, in common usage, which I might accept is “independent”, even though that term has a watered down feel.
