Next Up - It's the BIG EAST Tournament! May 11 at 10:30

It's go time. The CAN Big East Tournament is upon us. I've turned the Beast of the Big East Trophy into a bookend, and I have no plans of letting my books fall onto the floor. 

Saturday, May 11, on Ohio Drive Field #5. First pitch is at 11:00. Be there at 10:30 to set up the field, warm-up, etc. Please RSVP in the calendar by Wednesday COB so we have time to make three(!) game plans. 

Here's the schedule: 

11:00 am - Xavier @ Villanova (F4), Georgetown @ Providence (F5)

12:30 pm - Xavier @ Georgetown (F4), Providence @ Villanova (F5)

2:00 pm - Georgetown @ Villanova (F4), Providence @ Xavier (F5)

You're welcome to those of you who noticed we're the only team that doesn't have to move all day. :)  

Weather looks cooperative (as much as it can a week out), but remember lots of water just in case. It's a long day. Things you may want to bring: cooler, chair, lunch, sunscreen, etc. 

If someone wants to coordinate a picnic like the old days, please do!

Team, it'll be a long (and fun) day on Saturday, so let's revive the picnic spreadsheet. I've updated it here with a 2024 tab.  Please sign up for a couple of things to bring!  Feel free to add rows. 

As far as drinks go, those pesky park police have been known to rifle through big coolers of our beer and pour things out before. So we can do inconspicuous beer, Gatorpagne, etc. Bring something to hide your drink in!

If anyone's got a rake they'd be able to bring, that would be great. Field 5 is going to need some love after the last few days of rain.

I will bring a metal rake and shovel(and hopefully 3 wins).  It’s the least I  can do after last week.  Apologies to those who were there.  

Hopefully it stops raining and dries out quickly.  

Can’t wait to get back to winning..
