Tonight's S&T Committee meeting – lots of good updates

Hey everyone,

Worth checking out the agenda for tonight's Sustainability and Transportation Committee meeting. Lots of good info, including a detailed update on the city's Vision Zero progress. City staff deserve credit for moving this along on so many fronts.

Also note the update re: Libbytown 2-way streets, a project that lost all of its federal funding thanks to the Republicans in Washington. Much like Franklin Street, though, there's a huge opportunity to fund that project with state/local funding by selling off empty land for new housing development and adding acreage back into the city's property tax rolls. Anyone interested in joining an ad-hoc group to pitch an alternative financing plan to the city and MaineDOT?
