This year’s conference seeks to move beyond superficial harmonization between science and spirituality and instead engage in a rigorous and foundational inquiry into one of the most fundamental questions:

➤ The emergence of coherent informational structures

➤ The coordination of multi-system organization in living beings

In contrast, 𝐕𝐞𝐝ā𝐧𝐭𝐚, especially in the Gauḍīya Vaiṣṇava tradition, posits 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐜𝐢𝐨𝐮𝐬𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐚𝐬 𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐨𝐥𝐨𝐠𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐲 𝐩𝐫𝐢𝐦𝐚𝐫𝐲, with matter as its derivative expression. The Vedic principle of 𝐩ū𝐫ṇ𝐚𝐦 (𝐰𝐡𝐨𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬)—that the complete emerges from the complete—finds striking resonance in biological phenomena such as the development of a fully integrated organism from a single zygote.

• Can random mutation and selection adequately account for the emergence of integrated biological systems?

• Is consciousness merely a byproduct of neural complexity, or does it point to a more fundamental ontological principle?

• When we observe structured development (such as from a zygote), are we witnessing accumulation, or the unfolding of an inherent wholeness (𝘱ū𝘳ṇ𝘢𝘮)?

• To what extent are our current scientific models shaped by evidence, and to what extent by inherited assumptions?

We would be very interested to hear the perspectives of scholars in this group—whether from biology, physics, philosophy, or spiritual traditions.
