I led a family of homeschoolers on a nature walk today and one of them found a fresh Virginia Creeper Clearwing. Can’t wait to learn more about them. Does anyone have sightings history / information for NYS? How would I know if it is a county record? Also, 7/30/24 – Giant Swallowtails in Broome (Vestal, NY) and Tioga Co. (Owego, NY). A Snout butterfly was in my driveway / yard on 7/30/24 and I keep checking my Hackberry trees to see if it is hanging around. I had great looks, but no luck getting photos yet. It is not the first time I have had Snout in my yard.

I did find this on iNat. So there is one Broome Co. find in recent years. Fun stuff!

Nothing recent in Tioga Co., so that will be my next quest! LOL!
