Very interesting Santosh.

Here is what I would do.

  1. For each question, I would write the solution (multiple solutions if they are possible).
  2. Then, I would identify all the concepts that have been used in the solution.
  3. For each concept, I would write the corresponding misconception.
  4. Similarly, I would write down the various procedures used in solving the problems.
  5. For each problem, I would write down the possible errors that students can make. Remember, that identification of misconceptions and procedural errors does include some subjectivity.
Usually, the whole exercise, if done seriously, would take about 45 mins to 1 hour for a problem.

Do you have the solution of these problems. If yes, you may want to post them too and I would love to discuss the next steps involved.

Best of Luck

Santosh

Here is what may help you for that question.

Vector CD = pv of D – pv of C

CD || BA.

Vector BA = pv of A – pv of B = OA – OB = 2i + j – 2k

Magnitude of BA = 3.

Therefore, CD = 4(BA) = 8i + 4j – 8k

Vector CD = pv of D – pv of C

(8, 4, -8) = pv of D – (4, 5, 6)

Pv of D = (8, 4, -8) + (4, 5, 6) = (12, 9, -2)

Let me know if you have any questions.

Atul
