Unfamiliar Error Message

Hello,

I have encountered an error message that I can't get past. When I try to generate boundaries, it says "There are materials that lie outside of the Boundary Conditions." I get no warning about voids or overlapping geometry, just this one. I'm not sure what to fix. There is nothing out of place as far as I can tell.

If anyone has come across this error and knows what to do, please let me know.

Alexis,

Can you try to do the following:

Please note that this will delete any existing boundary conditions and you will need to assign them again.

Hi Simon, thanks for the quick reply. THERM doesn't give me the option to change how it generates the new boundary, it just goes right to the error message.

When you press BC it gives you the error message right away?

Yes, that's right. I tried closeing/re-opening the file. I tried moving some polygons. But yes, when I press BC it just goes straight to the error message right away.

You can try to select any boundary condition then press delete button and then create them again. Maybe that will help.

There are no boundary conditions to select, but I did delete a polygon and re-create it. That gave me the dialogue box where I could select "Ignore all the properties of existing or deleted boundary conditions."

However, then it gave me the error message again. No boundaries created.

I cannot say much without seeing the model. Do you get the same error in THERM 7.7? Are you sure that you do not have overlapping material polygons somewhere?
