Hi guys,

When I try to run the simulation in THERM first time, it shows "Trouble opening file". I search a lot of information about this and as the suggestion from the guild line of THERM, I try to be the administrator to run the software. However it's still useless. The attachment is my file. Could someone help me?

Thank you very much.

What version of THERM are you running? Go to Help / About to see the full version number

When I open this file in THERM 7.7.10 and try to run it, I get mesh generation errors.

It sounds like you are not even getting that far.

What exactly is the error you are getting? Can you send a screenshot?

Try opening THERM as Administrator and see if that helps.

It looks like the Program Files (x86) folder is being used. This is not desired -- this directory does not allow files to be written to it, so even if the file would open, it wouldn't be able to simulate

The default folder for the "working directory" or THERM should be

C:\Users\Public\LBNL\THERM7.7

Did you not use the default settings when you installed THERM?

Hi all,
I have encountered the same issue while trying to run the analysis in both THERM 7.7 and 7.8.
I just checked my installation and it was installed under the C:\Users\Public\LBNL\.  directory.
Does anyone have any clue on how to fix this issue?

Thank you in advance!

Best regards,
Juanjuan

It looks like a permissions issue.

Try running THERM as administer
