Once installed Therm 7.8.55 and 2 Redistributable Libraries, I am not able to open any of THERM files directly - with double click on it. The only way it opens through the Therm software, "Open file" option. Is there any way to fix this issue?
Previously installed Therm 7.7 was uninstalled prior to ver7.8 installation

Hi,

Did you ever have that functionality working?

Best,
Simon

Hi Simon,

I did. It worked fine with ver 7.7 and 7.4.
The only thing I had to set up was: to manually "track" THERM *exe file location for Therm software through "Right Click" - > Open with...

I did that too for 7.8, but still doesn't work ((

I don't believe this is something that THERM controls. It has to do with the associations you make between file types (based on extensions) and programs.

Not sure why you can't get it to work if it worked before, but I suspect it's something to do with how your file associations are set up.

THERM 7.8 makes a separate directory from 7.7, so maybe you have to make the association with the THERM executable in the 7.8 folder?

C:\Program Files (x86)\LBNL\THERM7.8

Hello,

I am also having the same issue. Information given here "https://windows.lbl.gov/tools/knowledge-base/articles/associating-thm" does not work for setting Therm 7.8.55 .thm file association on Windows 10 os.

Should this regkey (Computer\HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Applications\Therm7.exe\shell\open\command\ Data="C:\Program Files (x86)\LBNL\THERM7.8\Therm7.exe" "%1" ) use a different command string?

With this release of therm7 supporting command line interface, I would assume that there is an error in the syntax calling the therm7.exe command line interface with an incorrect command string.

Thank you,

Bret J.

You need redistributables. Please take a look at the instructions on LBNLs download page.
