Where's the skepticism?  Here it is:  Wait till that kid tares up a bank statement or W2 form!

Loved itEmoji

I actually also thought it’s so interesting…what is humor?  I mean scientifically.  I’m not sure what I mean, but I mean something.  Why would the tearing of paper lead to laughter in an infant?  Something about something that is whole being transformed into lots of things?  The surprise of it?  Anyhow… fun to think about too.  And I laughed every time i saw it.  Got tired of laughing and stopped watching.

well, one explanation of our response to laughter is that it is hardwired in us as an evolutionary advantage: laughter helps diffuse otherwise dangerous interactions.  Anyway, see if recording of laughter (attached at bottom of msg) this gets a humorous response from you.  (It's in a compressed ".wav" format so may not play on all platforms).

A reminder that laughter and delight in small things are part of our nature--before life chips away at them.

I was surprised the baby didn’t start tearing too.  Obviously a developmental milestone it has byte reached. I wonder how old you have to be?  But after that, be careful with your winning Lotto tickets. I wonder if the reaction is to the sound?  It is fairly distinct and perhaps this baby’s first time noticing it.   It also appears to me to be somewhat of a reflexive reaction.
And it’s also funny
