September 15 volunteer needed

Is there anyone, or more than one, available on Monday September 15, to ride with a group of college kids down Deckers Creek Trail? This would be from 8 am  Monday morning to about 1 pm.

Ella Belling of MRTC is looking for a volunteer. I had said I could do it, but a repairman is coming to my house that day.

It sounds like a "tour" as much as a ride. I can imagine seeing Cascade Falls, Greer, where Deckers disconnects from the trail, and then the Morgantown skyline. And maybe there will be lunch, too. I wonder even if students will kayak. It's hard to imagine 5 hours going down.

Good morning trail friends,

I am looking for a trail friend to help with a field trip college class from the University of Tennessee. We are touring on the Deckers Creek Rail-Trail.  I am in need of a lead cyclist on Monday, September 15.  Shuttle from outfitter at HRM Park at 8AM to Masontown and might go up trail a bit before going back to Morgantown. I need someone to stay in the lead and stop at designated points to keep the group from moving on and letting us all gather. I will  give some short talks at maybe 6-7 locations before we get back to Morgantown. Probably around 12-15 students. 

I expect we will be done around noon but perhaps plan for 1pm. 

Any takers? If you have basic bike repair skills then even better.  A slower day on trail than you are used to.  I suspect canceled if bad storms but we might go in mixed rain. 

Let me know and hope you all enjoy some outdoor adventures soon, Ella

I am assuming the CRC volunteer will also get shuttled to the top. Hopefully WVU will take care of the repair angle, but if  you have 2-3 tire "irons" and a portable pump, bring 'em I think. BTW, I saw 3 10 inch trout (brown or rainbow) in Deckers off the bridge opposite Kroger in Sabraton at about 3:30 today. They were perfect size and shape, and looked like they had been fed recently.

Anyone know more?
