Last Mile Application of Weather and Climate Information

Regarding the distribution of malaria with respect to weather condition during December 2015; the monthly values of rainfall, relative humidity and temperature conditions were favorable over a few southern lowland areas of the country; as a result favorable climate condition for the malaria was observed over some lowland parts of SNNPR and the adjoining areas. Similarly, the effect of temperature-humidity index “THI", comfortable and moderate conditions with respect to heat stress were dominating almost throughout the country during the month of December 2015.

The National Meteorological Agency disseminates ten daily, monthly and seasonal weather reports in which all the necessary current information relevant to agriculture are compiled.
