Route 601 is closed heading south towards Route 50 just passed 21225 Blue Ridge Mountain Road. There is a tree down and it took the power lines with with it that is why many of us do not have power.

Thank you. Joe just added about 15 people to Google Groups and they are still not receiving the emails 😭 I keep getting emails from the membership asking to be included in the Google Group emails.... unfortunately I don't have the password to do it. Thank you for responding.

He may not be adding them correctly.  It’s like one of those “neighborhood” groups, where you have to be invited to join by an existing member, who has their own password for logging on I believe.   Jason should be able to help with this, as he was doing it when he was President.  The members MAY need to have a g.mail address to be included, but I’m not sure about this.

I only used the BRMCA.President mailbox AND the BRMCA.news mailbox (Natalie and I both has PWs) when I would send out messages.  I believe Joe/Jason changed those PWs, and I’m not sure if those directories are even used now.  Those are where Nat and I updated membership lists, and from which we sent member messages.  Also kept track of potential new members, past members, etc.

The Google Groups list was/is distinct from the 2 above, and was supposed to be for those who wanted to receive ALL messages, including lost dogs, best painters, etc.  I always thought it was duplication and time-consuming to manage both, and decide which list gets what.   But, I believe theoretically, anyone who is GG member would have their own PW, and thus could access and post, while the other 2 mailboxes were PW protected and for official BRMCA business only.

Margit,

I reached out to Jason about 5 months ago and he told me that he would add the names. Joe gave him the password at that time. About 3 weeks ago he told me that he was not going to do it because he did not have the password and probably because he no longer wants to be vice president. Joe made an attempt to do it last week because I was getting so many requests from people who wanted to be added to the Google Groups. They like to hear about missing dogs, road closures, trees down, suggestions for who to use for different household services......

There is a new neighbor who has asked four times and at this point I personally copy my emails from Google Groups and forward them to him. I just sent Joe an email asking if he would try again.
