How to delete odd files with odd filenames in CP/M 2.2?

Hi, 
 
Once file on my disk is:    :TEST00 DAT    4K  

but when I try an ERA :TEST00.DAT 

A0>ERA :TEST00.DAT
No file
A0>

you could try a wild card ...
I suggest you  back file on the disk first to a another disk 

Then test wild card to see if it list just the file you want to erase.. 
dir ?TEST00.DAT 

if it does try 
era ?TEST00.DAT

Please use carefully as it will match any file that ends in  TEST00.DAT

Hi, 

I've tried *. etc.  I keep getting the same message "No File" ... 

Then I ReBOOTed the computer and was able to ERAse the file ??? Go figure.
