Hope you've got January 12th (a Monday) marked on your calendars?  We're gathering at Laurels' house for a pot luck lunch.....bring a dish to pass and come see "old" friends and new folks.  Everyone is welcome.  If you've paddled in the past, paddled this past year, or are just interested in paddling or meeting folks who do - come join us.

Hi all,
Nice to hear there are still paddlers.
I don't belong to ADK anymore, I was one of Charley Helmans ptfl paddlers. I was the 5th to complete all the fingerlakes. Hope everyone a Happy New Year.

Wow…..”part of Charlie Helman’s PTFL paddlers group”. I would like to take credit for the group but I just picked up where the groups originator left off. Credit goes to Jennifer Pivovar who came up with the idea.
I think last count I knew of was 13 people had completed the complete circumnavigation of all eleven finger lakes, close to 400 miles.

Happy holidays to all of you and happy paddling!

Charlie

Hi,
Some of you who were at the paddlers’ winter party on Monday asked to have this recipe.  Some tips:  I usually use Cortland apples.  I save up my bread crusts in a bag in the freezer so I have a supply for the bread pudding.  I use golden raisins.  Use your largest mixing bowl to mix the bread and apples.  I use a rectangular baking pan instead of an 8 x 8”.  Bake at 350 degrees for 30-40 minutes.  The crumb topping calls for softened butter but you can melt the butter instead.  I serve it with heavy cream but it is also good with vanilla ice cream.

It was delicious Pat even without the cream.
I would also like Vic’s recipe for her homemade crackers.  Very crunchy and flavorful! Ellen
