I have a Miyata 310 Mixte that I built up for my wife. It is a 650b conversion. It is her favorite ride.
When I built it up I used a crankset from a Giant Escape. It is a triple. It is a low end set and I would like to upgrade it. I have been looking at a Sugino XD 600. But they are not readily available. So I am looking for some suggestions. The crank is 175mm and the rings are 26-36-46.
I would even entertain a good used one if available.
Thanks!!

Rivendell says this crank they sell is identical to the Sugino XD2:

Their own Silver brand is also similar:

Hope this helps,

Spa Cycles in the UK sell rather nice Sugino XD clones at a extremely good price: https://spacycles.co.uk/m8b0s109p2003/SPA-CYCLES-XD-2-Touring-Cranks.

Tnort, what gearing are you trying to set up for her?  If you need a triple set up there are loads of triple chainsets out there, if you also don't care about Q.  If yo uwant a 46/30 and you do care about Q, the pickin's are slimmer.

Many of the Sugino models are cold-forged, which I think is stronger.  Are all these knock-offs and other-named cranks cold-forged?

Both of the models that Rivendell sells are cold forged.

Check the RBW Owners Bunch, a Sugino just posted there, 175 arms.

You also might look for an XD600 with 152 arms for your wife. I don't know how tall she is but I'm 5'-6" and really hate 170/175 cranks, I use the shorties. As seen here.

For clarity (because Rivendell often obfuscates true part numbers and model names), the "Clipper" cranks are New Albion XDT cranks. New Albion is a MerrySales brand, like Soma and IRD, and available to order from any IBD that has a MerrySales account (most of them).

^ Tom: These RD-2 cranks from Spa Cycles have the “normal” five-bolt pattern rather than the hidden-fifth-bolt pattern of the Clipper cranks and some Sugino cranks. I have a pair of these cranks from Spa. They have the  Sugino logo on the insides of the arms.

Except the RD-2 crank is 130/74 bolt circle, not 110/74 which means you're stuck with a rather large middle chainring. The TD-2 is their crank with a 110/74 bolt circle: https://spacycles.co.uk/m8b0s109p3051/SPA-CYCLES-TD-2-Touring-Cranks.
