Just finished building up this Austro-Daimler Vent Noir circa 1976. It accommodates 650 x 38 Pari-Motos with room to spare.

This does look great, I agree with the other feedback! May you share many happy miles with this good looking ride.

If you don’t mind can you share tire clearances, if there’s room for fenders, brake selection, other components, etc? Always nice to document if someone in the future is looking at the same frame.

Thanks for the kind words. So, to answer Alex's question about tire clearance and components:

At the chainstays I see about 9mm between the tire (Pari-Moto 650x38) and the stays. (I cold-set the rear triangle to 130mm, so there's that.) The fork has at least 12mm clearance on each side of the tire.

The brakes are Tektro R559 (55-73mm). They barely reach far enough south on the rear, and I got offset brake-pad holders to be safe. If I had to do it again, I'd get Dia-Compe 750s (62-78mm) for the extra reach.

Thanks for the info Evan. Given these numbers, do you (or any other mathy-type clearance-heads here) have any thoughts about what size tire one might fit with 700c wheels?

Very nice!  Single chainwheel?

My Inter-10 of similar vintage fit 700x38 or 650x42.

Nice build, Evan!

Two chainrings plus chain guard. The “large” ring is 40T. The small is 28T, I think.
