How to implement inter GNB handover

I want implement inter GNB handover in 5G NR scenario over NS3. How to do this. kindly help.

Hi, currently we don't support HO. We are planning to add this feature, however I cannot say with certainty when.

Hello Katerina,

I am sorry I am a bit confused. I have seen on the publications that indicating the handover is supported. I assume It is possible by using NR PHY/MAC and LTE module RRC layers.

Is my understanding correct?

Hi,

HO is supported in the LENA module (LTE).

5G-LENA module currently uses the LTE RRC and it does not support HO, however we are working on it and in the future we are planning to have our own RRC and support HO functionality.

Unfortunately no. Below is the answer I did get that time. I am not sure if there is a solution currently.

Hi Franci,
We plan to add it in the future, but unfortunately I cannot say when. Most probably it will be after summer, but still I am not sure.

does this mean that there is currently also no way to detach a UE from a gNodeB and attach it to another while the simulation is running?

Exaclty, currently there is no support.
