Newport - Register by Tuesday for 10 or we are OUT

Hello,

So far Mike and I are the only boat registered for the Newport Regatta July 12-13.   

If we don't have 10 by Tuesday, we are OUT.

I am sorry gang. 9003 did not make the trip north this summer. Too many other trips on the books for me plus Jonathan is doing summer classes in Miami.
If you get to 9 boats and are in danger of canceling I will register so you get to 10 and can have an event, but I can’t make it, regrettably - let me know tomorrow. I am sorry.

Maybe you or someone knows the answer here, or maybe I need to contact the regatta.

Are entry fees due when you register, and are they refunded if the fleet does not get a start?

FLASH UPDATE!  

With 9 boats registered, I called Sail Newport this morning and the guy I spoke to said we are looking good.  He needed to check with his boss to make sure, but he indicated strongly we are in.    Steve, from Canada is still a possibility which would make us 10.  I'll call them later today to confirm.   

FYI   The F18s have 9, the Melges 15s and S Boats only have 3 each, Thistles have 7.  We will be fine.

THANK YOU...Mike and Dylan, Sol, Luke and Christian, Bill and Will, and all the others.  This will be a fun regatta!
