Worlds 2027 - ABYC Long Beach

Hello All,

I must be slow on the uptake, but I just learned that 505 Worlds are in Long Beach, CA in 2027, late September.   We should start generating interest and plans to have a truck go west!

Hi everyone,

Doing some planning and thinking about a major event in late September... this will force younger college age sailors out.   I was getting excited but now not so much because my driver will be starting first year university.

If I recall the AGM, the weather is a factor in Long Beach, with late September being preferred.  Fwiw, I was out there in late August and it was breezy when I was there.

This event would be an amazing experience for younger sailors.  If we have the NAs as the pre worlds, then there is no major event for 505s in 2027 that college age sailors can participate in.  If there was any chance to move this into last week of August it would certainly be welcome. Or- make the NAs accessible by having that in August somewhere.
