Just wrapping up a Rostock Max v2 build here in Richmond, and looking for a local (lower mainland or Canadian) supplier of:

1) Fuses for the Rambo: 5Amp 0448005.MR.  These are a tiny, surface mount kind of fuse.  Haven't blown one yet, but I like to keep a good supply handy.  I'm going to check Lee's for these this week.

Here they are on Amazon US:

2) Astrosyn dampers for Nema 17's.  I need three of these.  Supposed to be great for stepper vibration transmission through the printer frame, and thus less noise.  It's a pretty quiet printer already, but I'll need something to upgrade on those rainy days.

Here they are on eBay:

Always nice to be able to buy local.  Border trips are a pain!

Looking forward to our next meeting!

Russ

Yeah.  digikey.ca ships next day for $8, so for something like those fuses, if you don't make a habit of blowing them, I would just order them when you need them.  I know whenever I buy something like that as a spare, I can never find it when I need it, and end up ordering more when the time comes.

Just make sure you do order from .ca  I've known a few people who have ordered from .com and paid the usual pile of shipping and brokerage.

Incidentally, 10 of them would cost you $13, and with the $8 shipping, pretty much exactly the same price as your amazon link.

Hmm that DigiKey.ca looks like a good solution.  Got the AstroSyn sound dampers on eBay and installed them yesterday.  Holy smokes they make a very, very large difference in sound.  Way quieter.  Way.  Should be a standard kit item I think.
