Is it that the Elegoo Slicer Inaccuracies in How it is Slicing - or possibly - in how it is Previewing a Slice???

OR maybe it's just ME!  But - I doubt it...

This is the slice I am talking about - you can see the parameters on the left - and, yet - in the preview - there is an OBVIUOS Gap between the Part and the Brim:
Slicer Innacuracy.jpg

But, as you will see in my settings - I am trying to have the Brim completely Connected!!!

This is just Weird...

OR Am I the Weird One???

probably just the preview. I’d say print it and keep an eye on the first layer.

That said, I have had issues in the past where orca slicer would remove entire chunks of a model. It has happened on more than one occasion.

You might try exporting the G-Code and then looking at it in a separate G-Code viewer to see if it's the generated path or the built-in viewer that's wrong.

Bryan - I did exactly that - this morning and yesterday afternoon - with these 2 new prints - and it did indeed seem to be fully connected when it printed.

I think I did indeed already try doing that - by bringing up PrusaSlicer. But, I will indeed try that again tonight - then follow-up again here.

I can't replicate the issue in my Elegoo slicer using a general thin cylinder.  Can you share your model to see if I can replicate?

Also the version of Elegoo slicer I'm using is 1.3.2.9

There is a gap in your preview too Sean if you zoom in more you'll see it.

It's simply a rendering bug. The "seam" representation falls outside of the outer wall, and the brim touches the edge of the seam. Change between standard and arachne on something like an Orca Cube and you'll see it. I can replicate it in Orca Slicer.

So - here you go. This pic compares Elegoo preview on Left - PrusaSlicer GCode Previewer on the right:
Slicer Compare.jpg

It's Odd that Elegoo seems to show it as Thicker lines - whilst PS shows it all as much Thinner lines. But, even in this shot - you can Kinda see there is a circular gap. FYI - since I no longer TRUSTED the Slicer to work right - I used Helper Discs on my part printing - which is why you see these semi-vertical lines around part - then the actual Brim is truly drawn circular.

I took a pic after it completed 1st layers - to get an idea of whether it's truly an issue. But, thru the top glass - which gets kinda hazy due to moisture - so the pic is kinda fuzzy. But, yeah - in this pic - you don't really see the circular gap:

Kurt do you have wall preview turned off? The Prusa one is showing the single outer wall, the Elegoo one is not, hence why the gap looks so huge.

Sorry for my delay - just juggling work & personal projects - a project I WILL share in another thread...

At first - I wasn't exactly sure what you meant - like, where do I find the setting - and was it a Prusa or Elegoo setting. But, I happened to have another Slice up on my screen in Preview mode. And, I was going to post here about this weird problem that the slice looks weird and shows up like a Ghost!!! As such:
Preview01.jpg

But, then I quickly saw the setting - as noted below - which also solved my other problem and now I can properly view the Slice:
Preview02.jpg

Still - I have to SERIOUSLY Wonder - Why the Hell would Elegoo make that as an option and initially have it turned off? Why would you NOT want to see the Outer Wall in the Slicer???

You may have turned it off and not realized it. I believe in preview mode there are hot keys to turn on and off the various line types.

Actually Bryan - funny you should mention that.

Why?

Cause I have 2 computers at home - and 2 monitors - and at times I switch between them. The one is my main PC for doing emails and browsing the web. The OTHER PC - is Purely for 3D Design work - and prepping 3D Print jobs. And, at times I am switching between them - but, MANY times I mess up - I try to type something - and I think I am typing on the one computer - but, mistakenly doing it for the other computer. And, yeah - I also have 2 keyboards - and I swap which one I am using.

So - there is a VERY Good chance that I turned that off by mistake - Possibly - causing I was typing on the wrong computer!!!

Thanks for the input. As it would make sense that the Setting should normally be turned on. I'm curious as to why ANYONE would actually want to turn it off!    Oh well...
