By the way - that's a Dark pic in the Reddit post - and doesn't truly seem to reveal ANYTHING. Although - the silhouette looks a bit like the SnapMaker I just got...

The silhouette the show looks like INDX to me, because as far as I can tell it's got the singular power cable to the toolhead and looks to me to be 5 or 6 PTFE tubes spaced very close together which just screams INDX. Since the Sovol SV08 is essentially a Voron, I figured it would be fairly easy for them to incorporate an INDX system to it.

Also when you open in Photoshop and brighten there are 6 filament rolls : looks like a 500mm x 500mm x 500mm SV08 MAX footprint!

I went opposite direction and bought more CC's. They had 1 snapmaker at microcenter when I picked them up. I debated but cc's won. And I wanted to give one to grandkids ( which their dad has taken over for Warhammer 40k scenery).

Only thing I have against snapmaker is its Bowden. So looking forward to hearing how it works for U.

Ironically, I've been considering building a new printer, specifically a Trident with INDX.

Sovol will be a pleasant option for me.

Are you talking about the Snapmaker U1? I can definitely confirm it isn’t Bowden - it is four individual direct drive extruders.

If it really is a SV08 Max, then it could have six extruders without being INDX. Even just regular StealthBurners would fit.

Thanks for the correction on the snapmaker U1. I read something online that said it was Bowden,  so I didn't check it out anymore. But now I am definitely interested. Maybe in the future.

Maybe the confusion comes from the unit having filament loaders on each side that push the filament to the heads when putting on a new spool. It is a simple cam and servo motor though, not an actual geared extruder. Super convenient.

They are disengaged when printing though - the filament is controlled by the extruders in each tool head.
