is there a published spec for torque to prevent the shaft of the Nextruder on the Prusa XL from crushing? I either over tightened it or under tightened. looking to prevent problems and wasted nozzles.

Jas - I don't have an XL - so, I can't help you with specifics.

But - why it is you feel that you either Overtightened or Under tightened your nozzle when installing it?

What do you truly mean by "filament nozzle crushing"???

Even if others are willing to help - I think we will need more info about what you think the problem is!

Are you simply printing too close to the Bed???

I do believe the Prusa instructions are clear on how to remove and install nozzles. I too would like more details on what you’ve experienced.

The little dent causes filament jams due to tightening the screw too tight. Under tightening cause it to fall out while printing. The Mk4 uses a thumbscrew to tighten, while the XL uses a torque wrench.

It is very clear, but they don't mention torque needed to ensure the nozzle does not dent or fall out.

It does NOT seem like you can get one that cheaply.

I even searched on Amazon:    Amazon.com : 03.nm torque wrench

It's not in the manual or online help?
Imagine that.
Flat face to face all metal seal are soooo 1990, as is torquing something critical in a delicate machine with precision alignment.
