Flashforge TC

I just saw an add on Instagram for a flashforge tool changing printer. Only 4 tools but a heated chamber.  Build plate small at 256mm x3. $850 WITH 6 to 8 weeks shipping. This is another brand I have no experience with.  So interested in opinions out there. Info is on their website also.

FlashForge goes WAY Back in the Desktop 3DP market. I could be wrong about this - but, I believe FlashForge was the 1st co. to start making Knock-off's of US brand printers - in regard to the MakerBot Replicator!

Considering the price is inline with the SmapMaker U1 - and the U1 has bigger build volume and is now more mainstream - why not go with the U1? Yeah - I like the idea of the FF having a heated chamber. But, even with my U1 - I could in theory heat the chamber - as I have the Big lid now - as well as the Panda PIQU (which sadly I have NOT Played with yet) - I can also have a heated chamber on my U1. 

Just sayin'...

Also - I take it you have NOT gotten your CC1 Canvas yet? As I have not gotten it yet either!

The picture seems to hint that the feeder motor is in the carriage while the feeder gearing is in the tool… along with the heater and sensor.

Yes I think that’s right. Here’s a video tearing down the toolhead (this isn’t the Pro but it’s the same toolhead)

Looks like a shaft in the middle of the coupler drives the extruder gears.
