Hello there Mr. Kansas!
Well - I partially agree with you. Yes, in the world of 3D Printing - desktop & hobby level 3D Printing is VERY Common place these days. Seems everyone is getting into it - OR - they Know someone that has a 3D Printer.
But, as for your comment of "
3d Printing has become easy and a lot of the early struggles have been smoothed out" - I kind of disagree on that.
Yeah - Andy has drummed up support for the Cult of Full Contact Support - a method that makes a LOT of sense. But, not all printers created equally, and, sure - seems all issues are resolved if you get a Bambu X1C - but, not everyone can afford that. And, some printers are moving faster - which is cool. Some of the Tech is getting more advanced. Race to bottom has produced $100 3DP's - when on Sale at MC.
And, some folks come up with new experimental methods of printing.
Heck - I am now in touch with a dude on LinkedIn. We connected via a FoxPro programmer group on LinkedIn - and then we officially connected - so he's now in my network. I was posting in that group - in regards to getting work.
Then - the guy REALLY Surprised me - told me he has a patent on a new 3DP technique for metal printing - and he 3D Prints jewelry with his method. I got no more details than that - but, I am trying to pull more info out of him - as I'm curious...
