Pretty neat, free 3D model straight from the movie (saw it this weekend, really enjoyed it).

The model is in the Gallery section.

I Completely agree with you Bryan - at least from the pic in the main webpage. I didn't DL the file yet. But, I will do that later today - maybe during my lunch break...

Which has me wondering - I now there are filaments with metal particles in them - and they are typically PLA based. I'd be really curious to know of there is ABS based metal filled filament. Again - I was Pondering this as I was typing this email. So - didn't search it online - as I'm trying to make a Super Quick reply in between Coding tasks at work (you know - trying to "multi-task" - which Humanoids supposedly can NOT efficiently do...).

If there were ABS based versions - I could vapor smooth the part - to give a cleaner look after removing the Supports...

Anyway - it's Back to the Grindstone for me down here in the Salt Mines...

I think I'll print it in a silk pewter PLA.

That sounds like an Excellent choice. Does it actually have Pewter metal type particles in that filament??

Did you see the movie yet?

I just heard on the news that this movie was the BIGGEST in the Box Office this past weekend!

No, it’s just a metallic silk like the silver, gold, etc. but it’s darker.

I printed this Darth Malgus lightsaber in the pewter:

A good print for SLA... as the supported model indicates per the SLA type of supports applied.
FDM? Not so much.
PS puts supports inside the model making it quite a painful cleanup without soluble support material.

Uncle Jessy printed it on his Kobra Max:

If you rotate it to the right and use slim tree supports on bed only and critical areas only you can get it to print without sticking supports inside.

I LOVED THIS MOVIE. 👎 I also printed a Grace :D He's printed on my prusa 3.5. I used the supported model so his back looks kinda awful, but the front looks good. ESun bronze silk was pretty much the perfect color for the model.

I'm gonna give a couple of the suggestions you all have made a shot because I was struggling with the whole "no i do not want to fill the entire body with supports, thanks"
