Hey guys the bad news is Rich and I have decided to basically gut our townhouse. The good news is more investment in the place - with the tide all boats shall rise!
I am working with Cam Morgenstern a licensed contractor. He has come up with a plan to avoid a big dumpster - he will haul it all away everyday. We thought the dumpster might attract trouble. Cam is available 24/7 to answer your calls. That said he does go back and forth from Aspen to Denver working in both places. He has a Job Site Manager who lives a few neighborhoods away so if trouble transpires there should be rapid response. So please call anytime day or night if you have issues.
The only thing we are doing on the exterior is removing the graffiti on our garage door. All the interior work avoids the party wall - no moving plumbing etc. We did the rooftop deck already so no cranes etc. One big question - do you guys know where the water shut off is in your units? I have the sprinkler system shut off but did not see our individual unit shut off although I did not get way under the stairs to poke around too much…SPIDERS. Any ideas? I know I must have one for just my unit as that is required by building code.
So good bye ripped up wall paper, broken kitchen cabinets and three legged Ikea couches! Oh and don’t forget the "shower of death” which is a painful exfoliation experience in our place. Somebody did like our chandelier but I don’t remember if that was a neighbor or a friend. It is up for grabs and only 3 years old. Construction should be done mid February. I don’t anticipate much noise except when they tear bathrooms tile out.
I welcome questions and concerns.
