Subject: Police Clearance
Dear All,
In keeping with the Scouts South Africa National Announcements 3: August 2021
Let’s continue to put Child Safety first!
Message from Chief Commissioner Gary Pienaar
From now on SCOUTS South Africa requires all of us warranted or appointed adults, parent helpers and Rovers - older than 18 years of age - to get a Police Clearance (PC) before we may work with youth members within the Scout Movement.
As we have all heard Scouts South Africa is requesting that all Adult Leaders have a Police Clearance check done.
1st Benoni are arranging for a lady to come through to the 1st Benoni Hall on Friday 22 October at 16:00 to do Police Clearances for several 1st Benoni Adult leaders. The cost is R 220.00 per person, should you be interested in having your Police Clearance done on the day.
Please confirm numbers with me of all those who are interested in having a Police Clearance done on 22 October, by close of business on 10 October 2021 .
Yours in Scouting
Mike Weeks

Hi
If it’s compulsory then we will pay for it.
Last time I paid the amount over to Karin and she paid the person on the day.

So altogether it’s the 4 from cubs,1 Meerkat and I think 2 or 3 from scouts. We need to check with Gary. Leon has been done with the first group.
I see 9th Benoni doing all parent helpers and committee. I think this is a bit extreme.
