Hi,

Zeppelin is OK in localhost. But when I open it in another machine, it shows disconnected.
Can anyone tell me what's wrong?

Thanks,
Kevin.

It seems it only supports localhost not IP?

Hi, Kevin.

Zeppelin uses two port. by default they are 8080(resources) and 8081(websocket).
If your remote machine can access 8080 port but not able to access 8081, it'll display 'disconnected'.
When you change the port number, they'll become PORT, PORT+1.

Could you check if your remote machine can access 8081 port?

Thanks,
moon

Hi, moon

In my brower, localhost is OK. But when I change it to the IP address(the same as localhost), it shows disconnected.
I think whether it only supports localhost not ip?

Thanks,
Kevin.

Hi, Kevin

If everythings good, it should be able to access by ip, by localhost, by domain name.

Could you try following commands?

netstat -na | grep 8080
netstat
-na | grep 8081
curl YOUR_IP
:8080
curl YOUR_IP
:8081

Here's my result

NFLabss-MacBook-Air-2:zeppelin moon$ netstat -na | grep 8080
tcp46
0      0  *.8080                 *.*                    LISTEN

NFLabss-MacBook-Air-2:zeppelin moon$ netstat -na | grep 8081
tcp46
0      0  *.8081                 *.*                    LISTEN

NFLabss-MacBook-Air-2:zeppelin moon$ curl 192.168.0.11:8080
