Does zap have a "stream mode" or something?

I have an app connected to zap proxy but it seems that zap buffers the content before sending it to the app.
Does zap have a streaming mode so that the application gets pieces of content right away?

Basically there's this application that downloads big updates from a very slow mirror. I am using zap proxy to replace hostnames to a faster server from the request headers. Now this application needs immediate response or else it will just spam requests to zap.
