Hi,
I had trouble installing yesod-platform-1.1.8 in Fedora. I tried installing it and got some error messages
with near-0 information content along the lines of "cannot resolve dependences".
Finally I got it to produce a meaningful error message and I learned that it wanted the ghc
package to be installed. At that point I didn't understand that ghc (in this context)
does not refer to anything installed in the fedora haskell-platform yum package.
Instead you must also install the fedora 'ghc' package which is seperate and
and does not install with haskell-platform. I'm posting this to the mailing list
just in case anyone else encounters the same issue.
Thanks,
  Mike W.

Hi Michael W,
Perhaps Fedora (I am the Fedora ghc and HP package maintainer) is being
too pedantic but the "ghci library" or libghc or what you what to call it
is not formally part of haskell-platform. It is also a rather large and so
currently in Fedora you have to install the main ghc meta-package to pull
ghc-ghc-devel in. I might be persuaded to change this if enough people
complain. But conversely not everyone needs the ghc library and TH,
etc though...
