The submission deadline would be 26 Nov 16:00 UTC.

Just following up the discussion from the meeting that we agreed to call for a working group to further work on the charter review process.

If you are interested to join the Charter Review Working Group, please express your interest in this mailing list by 6 Dec (Sun). Please expect call meetings will be held to work on the document.

Next Steps proposed by Pim ten Thije (Adopted at the Young Coalition on Internet Governance session):

1. Start with a working group created from a call in the mailing list.
Goal: define the process of changing the charter.

---- Done by the organisators of the Youth Coalition On Internet Governance in Brasil.

---- Everyone can participate,

---- When a lot of people want to participate actively: we can create sub work-groups for specific parts of the charters.

2. A draft of the charter changes is created (by the same or a different working group).

3. The whole community (mailinglist) can give input and suggestions via Piratepad.

4. Via the mailinglist a vote is done on the specific proposal for the new charter

---- This is the most political neutral way.

5. The steering committee is proposed and elected according to the charter.

From experience, i think it will be good to have only few people working on this to allow good communication.

Having so many people will require a lot of time and i fear we won't be able to go any further. Can we close this now and go with those already in and the rest of us can be involved in future works?

Hope this makes sense! I will be happy to read the charter after the WG is done with the review or to be involved in the next step after the review.

Keep the energy high guys, young people we rock! Together we can!

As of May 2014, the 193 UN member states are divided into five regional
groups:

1. the African Group, with 54 member states
2. the Asia-Pacific Group, with 53 member states
3. the Eastern European Group, with 23 member states
4. the Latin American and Caribbean Group (GRULAC), with 33 member
states
5. the Western European and Others Group (WEOG), with 28 member
states, plus 1 member state as observer.

I actually think its great that many people want from across the world
are interested to help. This should continue to be an open process for
everyone to contribute as the principles of multistakeholderismon
Internet Governance.

The best way would be to upload the current document as it is on a
Gogole Doc and people to comment and make suggestions to it as it is so
that people don't repeat themselves in email discussions. This will make
the work much easier.

Its now time and we can now move on reenergizing this coalition!!
