Thanks for Xtend!

I am loving Xtend, and I wanted to say thanks.  I wish more people knew about it and the ones who did "know" about it would not brush it off as "barely better than Java".  The only problem I have with the language is that no one has released a book for it =).

I agree completely! I should have posted my "thanks" message before my other comments! It's very comfortable to work with Xtend. And having idiomatic Java generated by the compiler is a great safety net for a variety of reasons -- not the least of which is that it's easy to see what the compiler has done, reducing the "surprise" factor that often accompanies advanced inferencing in languages.

As for the book, I can understand why there isn't any book yet. It is a really time consuming job.
I find the official PDF documentation (66 pages) is a good start.
