Plans for support of WebView2 on Windows?

Hi,

Are there any plans to eventually support the upcoming chromium-based WebView2 on Windows as a backend to wxWebView (once it is stable)?

I have plans to implement a backend based on that, but no ETA. Probably sometime early 2020.

The API looks very clean and should work back to Windows 7, there is only a small loader DLL that has to be distributed with the executable.
It seems it's even possible to bundle edge instead of using the system provided one.

Assuming edge-chromium backend will be cross platform and it will not depend on the browser availability on the system.
