x:Shared

I have a response for the x:Shared question.  The below explains the reason it is not in IntelliSense.

The designer doesn’t support x:Shared – implementing this support was super expensive and it didn’t seem like a particularly common scenario.

 

Given that the designer doesn’t support x:Shared we decided not to put it in intellisense.

That doesn’t make much sense to me. The designer and the XAML editor are complementary, not one and the same. It’s like saying “we don’t allow the user to design a LinearGradientBrush in the designer, so we don’t offer Intellisense for it”.

So do I, though I think CheckAccess and VerifyAccess are bigger WTFs.
What reasoning did they have for hiding those from intellisense? Huge
pain in the backside.
