I know its not not a 'welsh' bus, but it was in Wales today, even if it is going to Birmingham tomorrow....

Most of the pictures on the internet show it next to London landmarks, but today we see it next to the Lidl store at the corner of Maes-y-coed Road in Heath (Gnome corner as most people of a certain age know it).

The Alexander body has been excellently converted, and the lounge/bar area upstairs is very comfortable (especially with the give away food and drink). Even though it is covered in Contravision, I did not find the view from upstairs impeded in any way.

It may be an excellent conversion, but it's a scandalous waste of a low-floor bus which (in my view) should still be in service as a bus in London or elsewhere.

If not already known, it is ex  X338 NNO (11/11).

It's too old for London and, being ex London, is not actually that useful anywhere else (too high, two doors and poor internal layout). In reality it's better to use it for this and keep the better ones (later London ones and any provincial examples) as PSVs.

Another downside I noticed is the straight staircase on this, which
takes up a lot of room, losing at least one pair of seats upstairs.
The stairs also seem claustrophobic as you ascend and 'never-ending',
although this must be just an illusion.

I knew I wasn't seeing things, saw this near the Morfa stadium in Swansea end of last week.
