Native to the ARRIVA Cymru fleet as SMC564, 814 was new to Llanrwst depot for use on services in the Conwy Valley as far as I remember. I believe it carried a bike rack when new but cannot remember for certain? 814 after the closure of Llanrwst operated from the Llandudno Junction depot and remained there until around mid 2012 when it moved onto Wrexham for service and is seen here in the September. Its tenure in Wrexham appeared to short as it was withdrawn from service in the autumn and at the time of posting was sitting in the long grass at the back of Wrexham (Caego) depot.

This was the first 'SMC' MPD in the Welsh fleet and seemingly the first to be withdrawn.

Kind Regards
Chris

Following on from 801-13 being withdrawn.... No, no bike rack fitted
to this one, I think it was only Rhyl's 827 (V557 ECC) that had a bike
rack, however SMC564 was the first MPD I ever saw in Rhyl when it
worked a route 16 in from Llandudno one day around Christmas time if I
remember rightly. It still looked very smart when the photo was taken
in September!
