New Adventure Travel has recently increased the frequency of Service 102 (Glyncoch-Pontypridd-Upper Boat), its original local service in the town, from half hourly to every 20 minutes, filling a gap in the market vacated by Veolia.

Mostly in the hands of the MCV-bodied MANs and former Lothian Super Pointer-bodied Darts, former Reading Buses Optare Excel S925 LBL also makes an appearance, and is seen in Gelliwastad Road in August 2011.

At least Veolia made some attempt at repairing accident damage, the state of those Excels and some newer buses is shocking!

Well sometimes they do and sometimes they don't (didn't?). The Centros left at Abercrave are in a sorry state, although they do patch up the odd panel (without respraying I might add) but there's still huge gouges down the side and bare metal nailed on top in one case. Oh, and corners covered with gaffa tape. So to some extent they do lol, but still not much of an effort to be honest. It also depends on funds, some small companies can't afford to go replacing everything straight away. Others just don't give a toss (which I find more the case with Veolia).
