Anyone upgraded yet? Any problems with the usual suspectls like Brew and Imagemagick?

I've been using for a few months now and have had far less problems
than with Lion as far as Ruby is concerned.

Basically I just installed the "command line tools" from Apple that is
a separate download but also part of XCode and compilation has been
happily proceeding. Your mileage may vary.

I did a fresh install with the GM when it came out. No problems beside installing pkg-config (dependency of imagemagick), which reinstalling the Xcode command line tools and using the --with-gcc option with brew install fixed.

Aside from that seems good.

Actually, I'm probably going to wait a while before upgrading but was just wondering (as I have a bit older Macbook Air) how it runs resource-wise. ie. does it seem snappier on same machine, use less memory, appear faster etc?

lemme know,
Daryl.

On my 2011 Macbook Air I feel like it runs faster than Lion though no
definitive tests run.

Is that the 2.13 Intel Core 2 Duo chipped one? (I bought mine in 2011 but think it was just before the "actual" 2011 model came out.)

It seems pretty comparable to me in terms of performance, except I've noticed launch apps doesn't feel quite as snappy as it did on Lion. I'm wondering if that's got something to do with Gatekeeper…

But I'm using an early '11 i7 MBP with an SSD so YMMV.

ThoughtBot have a post up on getting things going again after the upgrade:

although, the most important point is to backup first.
