Senior Ruby / Ruby on Rails Developer

Job Description

As a senior Ruby developer at YouDo you develop clean, elegant code that’s backed up by comprehensive tests.  You contribute to the design and evolution of software for our big-name clients and work closely with the CTO.  Your experience helps you to develop the team and your peers and play a large part in code review.

Job Responsibilities

•         Be part of a dedicated and enthusiastic software development team delivering complex software.
  
•         Write clean and elegant code that’s backed up by comprehensive unit, integration and acceptance tests.
  
•         Find creative solutions to complex problems.
  
•         Follow the Scrum methodology where quick iterations and good feedback are a way of life.
  
•         Mentor junior team members and play a large part in the code review process.
  
•         Work closely with the CTO to help maintain the best development practices and understand technology trends that can achieve our goals.
  
•         Release and deployment activities.
  
•         Ruby on Rails, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript development.
  

 

We would like you to have

•         5 years of senior programming in a commercial environment. At least 2 of those years in Ruby on Rails.
  
•         Agile experience and understanding.
  
•         Previous roles on large scale or complex projects.
  
•         Academic achievements.
