Hello All,
As mentioned in the notes [1] from this week's VIVO Development Interest Group call, we are in the initial planning stages of two VIVO development sprints.

These two, 2-week-long sprints will take place on the following dates:
- Weeks of April 23 and 30 &
- Weeks of May 21 and 28

The focus of each of these sprints will be clarified in conjunction with the upcoming Strategic Planning meeting (Mar 1).

In the meantime, however, please begin clearing your calendars for those dates. Documentors, ontologists, testers and developers alike are all welcomed (and needed)!

Updates and planning will occur on the weekly VIVO Development Interest Group calls [2].

Regards,

Andrew Woods

Hello All,

You may have heard that we recently convened an architectural meeting [1] to discuss the technical approaches to addressing the Statement of VIVO's Product Direction for 2019 [2]. Based on the outcomes of the architectural meeting, we have created a series of four development sprints [3].

Please mark your calendars and plan on participating in one (or all) of the sprints scheduled for the following dates:
- Weeks of March 18 & 25 (decoupling and Dockerizing)
- Weeks of June 17 & 24 (user interface)
- Weeks of September 16 & 23 (ingest)
- Weeks of December 2 & 9 (TBD, based on outstanding items)

Please begin clearing your calendars for those dates. Documentors, ontologists, testers and developers alike are all welcomed (and needed)!

Updates and planning will occur on the weekly VIVO Development Interest Group calls [4].

Regards,
Andrew Woods
